Theatrelight in Vietnam
Theatrelight recently attended the PALME exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). This was Vietnam's first international lighting and sound show and attracted a lot of attention. Products exhibited included the Tourmaster, and the PID II Plug-in Dimmer cabinet.
Following the exhibition, Theatrelight is pleased to announce ITCSTAR of Hanoi as a distributor for Vietnam. Further details are on the agents page.

Managers Sandy and Jenny Gao from Theatrelight's Zhongshan factory together with Verran, our helpful Vietnamese translator.

Rex Gilfillan explains the operation of a 60 channel version of the PID II Plug-in Dimmer cabinet. The same size cabinet, if fitted fitted with 4 channel modules, provides a very compact installation of 120 channels of ten amp dimmers.

New Products
New products include the PID II - a plug-in dimmer for TV Studios and professional theatres, and the Tourmaster 24 and 48 - lightweight touring dimmer cabinets available in 24 and 48 channels.
The Quasar is now available in a wall-mounting version for smaller enviromental lighting installations.
Backup to SD Card has now been added to Nova, Scenemaster, Cuemaster, Cuemaster II, and DMX Link control panels.
Updated products
All our dimmer products now use SCRs for greater reliabity. Most of the dimmers now use an integrated Fan/SCR module with custom finned extrusions for better cooling and long-term reliablity. Models using this improved module include Tourmaster, Nebula, RackPack II, and RackPack I.
In addition most of our dimmers now use pulse transformers rather than opto-couplers to drive the SCRs — the new TL PT Drive system removes the previous minimum load requirement, allowing reliable control of small lamps and motors.
Also both the original Satellite and Comet have been updated with an easy to use LCD menu system replacing the previous set-up dip-switch.
Re-introduced products
Following customer requests, we have re-introduced a version of our original, simple RackPack digital dimmer. In addition we have brought back the DMX to Analogue receiver in a new 24 channel format due to the need for DMX control of fluorescent ballasts, LED parcans, and for driving older analogue dimmer packs.
